WORLD HANDICAP SYSTEM
The World Handicap System launched in England on 2 November 2020. It is designed to welcome more players, to make golf easier to understand and to give all golfers a handicap which is portable all around the globe.

How does the new handicap system work?
It is calculated from the best 8 scores from the last 20 rounds. As a new score is submitted, a player's Handicap Index will automatically update to use the 20 most recent scores. It will update overnight after the submission of an acceptable score and should be ready before you next play.
How is a handicap calculated if the player has less than 20 scores?
Less rounds are used to calculate a player's handicap index until they have recorded 20 scores.
